Program Overview: The Bright Smiles Youth Education Program is designed to equip children and teens with the knowledge, confidence, and habits needed to maintain lifelong oral health. This program serves youth ages 6–18 in schools, after-school programs, and community centers, with a strong emphasis on prevention, early education, and reducing fear around dental care. Through engaging, age-appropriate instruction, youth learn how oral hygiene directly impacts overall health, confidence, and long-term well-being. The program addresses common misconceptions about dental care while creating a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages healthy routines at home and in school.
SmileWorks Dental Assistant Career Pathway
SmileWorks Dental Assistant Career Pathway is an 8 to 12 week workforce development program designed to train underserved adults for entry-level careers as Dental Assistants. The program combines technical dental training, professional readiness development, and employer partnership placement to create a direct pathway into Michigan’s growing healthcare workforce.
Healthy Smiles for Life Community Initiative
The Healthy Smiles for Life Community Initiative expands access to preventive oral health education and resources for low-income adults and families. This initiative brings education and preventive support directly into communities through outreach events, workshops, and partnerships with local organizations. The program focuses on reducing barriers to care, increasing awareness of oral health’s connection to chronic conditions, and supporting families in maintaining healthy routines.
